Wild Fish Swim Festival - 2020 Online Registration

Distances: 1/2 Mile, 1 Mile and 2 Mile 

Time: 9:30AM start (Registration/Packet pickup opens at 8:00am)

Location: Collins Cove Beach, Salem, MA. (GPS 102 Webb St. Salem, MA) Collins Cove is located on Webb Street which is off Bridge Street. Follow signs to Salem Willows and you will see us. We are the cove on the left heading towards the Willows.

Early Bird: $20 through 2/29
Tier 1: $30 through 4/26
Tier 2: $40 through 7/31
Race Day: $50

Details: This annual community open water swim event typically attracts an average of 150 swimmers split between three different distances. The temperature of the water is typically about 66-68 degrees Farenheight, with 2019 being an exception with temperatures closer to 60 degrees. The swim takes place in a calm, protected cove, and is well supported with at least a dozen volunteers in kayaks and on paddleboards. 

Swag: In 2020, t-shirts will be guaranteed for all participants pre-registered by July 25th. Swim caps will be provided for all swimmers.

No Double Dipping
Wetsuit/Non-Wetsuits will be combined in the award ceremony.

Post Race Festivities:
Post race Hot Breakfast catered by Every Little Breeze Catering.
$5 for non-swimmers and FREE for kids. Cold brew coffee provided by Boston Common Coffee Co. will be FREE for participants and $2 for non-swimmers.

Parking: Street parking along beach is limited, neighborhood parking, Bentley School Parking lot (25 Memorial Drive, Salem, MA).

Special Details and Information: No floaties, fins or paddles allowed. There will be plenty of kayakers, paddleboarders, emergency boats in the water for athlete safety. In the event there is not enough interest in any one of the distances or categories listed above, event organizers reserve the right to change/cancel or modify the category. In this case, refunds and transfers are eligible.

I attest that I am physically fit to compete in this event. Athlete is fully aware of the risks and hazards inherent in participating in the Event and hereby elects to voluntarily participate, knowing the risks associated with the Event. Athlete hereby assumes all risks of loss(es), damage(s), or injury(ies) that may be sustained by him/her while participating in the Event. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my likeness in all media including, but not limited to photographs, broadcasts, newspapers, brochures, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose without compensation. Athlete acknowledges that the entry fee paid is non-refundable and non-transferable. Athlete acknowledges and agrees that Wild Fish Swim Festival, in its sole discretion, may delay or cancel the Event if it believes the conditions on the race day are unsafe. In the event the Event is delayed or cancelled for any reason, including but not limited to: fire, threatened or actual strike, labor difficulty, work stoppage, insurrection, war, public disaster, flood, unavoidable casualty, acts of God or the elements (including without limitation, rain, hail, hurricane, tornado, earthquake), or any other cause beyond the control of Wild Fish Swim Festival there shall be no refund of the entry fee or any other costs of Athlete in connection with the Event. ATHLETE HAS READ THE FOREGOING AND INTENTIONALLY AND VOLUNTARILY SIGNS THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT. IF ATHLETE IS UNDER AGE 18 HIS/HER PARENT OR GUARDIAN MUST SIGN THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER AGREEMENT. Athlete's Parent or Guardian's signature above certifies that my son/daughter/ward has my permission to participate in the Event. Athlete's Parent/Guardian has read and understands the foregoing RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT (above) and by signing intentionally and voluntarily agrees to its terms and conditions. Athlete's Parent/Guardian further certifies that my son/daughter/ward is in good physical condition and is able to safely participate in the Event. I hereby authorize medical treatment for him/her and grant access to my child's medical records as necessary and as stated above.
